Bridging the Gap is a two year full-time course for young people aged 16 -19 years old who are looking for variety, challenge and a different approach to learning.
Bridging the Gap encourages young people to develop themselves through experience, reflection and understanding in a creative way. The course emphasises learning new skills through the crafts, being on the path of self discovery through the arts and developing a coherent world view while working collaboratively with tutors and peers.
Bridging the Gap is funded and accredited through Stroud College, so the course does not charge tuition fees. The first year course begins in September 2012 and there are 16 places.
The Waldorf College is an independent college for 16 - 20 year olds and is based in the Centre for Science and Art, a beautiful Victorian building and former Art college in Stroud. The College has been developing and practising Experiential Education since 2000 with many students benefiting from its unique approach.
Lighting Fires' is a workshop for 18 to 25 year old's in transition, collaboratively designed and run by inspiring young people who have experience in group facilitation, who have travelled widely and are on interesting life pathways.

You are invited to a World Café on the 25th May 2012, Centre for Science and arts, Stroud (Opposite the Library).
A diverse group of people are invited to come together to have meaningful creative and Action inspiring conversations about what it means to be a part of a vibrant, thriving community (village, small holding, town or city).
We will be discussing, envisioning, doodling and connecting ideas over tea at small tables in a pleasant ‘World Café’ setting.
Date: Friday 25 May 2012
Time: 11am-1pm The World Café will be followed by an optional shared lunch (please bring something to share) from 1-2pm. Drinks and snacks will be available during the café.
Venue: Waldorf College, Centre for Science and Arts, Lansdown Road, Stroud (opposite library)
Childcare: There will be childrens’ activities if this is requested by families. A fee for this can be negotiated ahead of this event.
Suggested donation to cover costs of running this event: £3.00
